Depending on the actual account you are using, the easier/harder this will be.
Try having a semi-decent account with a small shop, themed gallery, 100-200 avatars, a pre-made look-up.(ect.) (you need an account to see links)
If you're going to act wealthy you NEED TO LOOK THE PART
STEP 1
Go to the RS/CHAT/SNIPE board, give your self a brief introduction.
You will be welcomed into their group. Try to chat for as long as you can, make some friends,
accept whatever tips they have about Reselling/RSing/Sniping. Be polite, send a couple a nice neomail(thanks yadda yadda.)
and send some others a neofriend request.
Go back to the board frequently(normally it is the same group making the board.)
STEP 2
Find a few boards where people are selling or buying. Give them a free bump something along the lines
Chuck in a few smiles here and there
People appreciate free bumps and good lucks. The more you wish people luck, the more memorable you'll become.
STEP 3
Try to be as helpful as you can possibly be. Look for price check boards/help I have been scammed/tips for RSing.
Give the person an accurate price check, advice or a helpful tip. Things like
People will remember/befriend you if you give them some godly advice.
Try to leave a lasting impression for whomever needs help(Chances are they will remember this.)
STEP 4
Now that you are semi/well known around the TC, everything and anything you do
will seem legit. Just remember to stay active on RS/Chat boards and pop in on boards
of your new found friends. You can start your own selling/buying boards and your new
found friends will help you look like you know what you're doing.
Depending on the actual account you are using, the easier/harder this will be.
Try to have a decent account that looks like it is trying to improve.
Have a good avatar collection 250+, have a pre-made userlookup, 100+ stamps, site themes,
a row of trophies and a beloved painted pet with a lovely lookup.
If you're going to be a collector you NEED TO LOOK THE PART
STEP 1
Go to jellyneo or a similar site, and get an avatar petpage list. Stick it on your active pet.
Head to an avatar chat, RS/Chat or a Secret Lender board. Introduce yourself.
Once you're in a guild, get to know the council and the everyday members. Stay close to these people, more
than likely they will be around the AC boards and you can slip right in.
STEP 3
Find boards with titles Something has Happened/Lending/Lend me.
Send well-meaningful messages like
This will turn a few heads, you'll be thanked, welcomed and become a little more memorable.
*Always lend at own risk.
STEP 4
Now that you are semi/well known around the AC, everything and anything you do
will seem legit. Remember to keep working on improving your account, stay active in
your guild and contact your new found friends. Make your own boards and give people a
helping hand every now and then. & Keep up to date with AC shenanigans.
You have successfully become a ACer(Little shudder...)
Depending on the actual account you are using, the easier/harder this will be.
Obviously if you're trying to fit in the BD. You are going to have to have a decent
account. 200+ avatars, 300+ stamps, a few plot trophies, a high BD score and a good
BD pet with high stats.
If you're going to act tough you NEED TO LOOK THE PART
STEP 2
Go to a selling board, wish them best of luck selling.
Go to a battling board, fight your way to victory.
Go to a recruit board, wish them best luck recruiting.
Try to get into a BD guild.
Act cold and mysterious.
Sell a couple of weapons
Always act like you know exactly what you're doing.
STEP 3
Now that you are semi/well known around the BD, everything and anything you do
will seem somewhat legit. Stay sharp and aware of what activities are partaking in
the BD. 'Work' your way up through the chain. Always be a little mysterious.
You have successfully become a BDer
Congratulations on learning how to blend in on the three most notorious boards.
I always found blending into the BD chat to be on a whole different level of sneakiness. Back in the day, when everything was super active, it was easy. But now a days, you will stick out like a sore thumb if you come out of nowhere selling anything of value. You really have to take your time if you want to be able to post on the BD chat. They like to silently report over there, so it's dangerous
What's my definition of success? Creating something no one else can Being brave enough to dream big Grindin' when you're told to just quit Giving more when you got nothin' left
It took me quite some time to blend into the BD chat but without acting desperate to fit in. One major thing that will help is a badass bd pet I uptraded from my UC and it really did help out. When people are buying high end items mail them directly instead of posting publicly. I made good friends with some of the people always buying and reselling high end items and they would watch my back when I needed it on the boards. Nobody ever questioned my legitimacy.
Gotta say a few things.
First of all, I know the guide took quite a bit of time and effort to make, so kudos on that!
Secondly, the tips to becoming a TCer are a bit iffy in my opinion.
I know a lot of the people on the RS/Snipe/Chat boards, and there's a few people that will look into newbies in that frequent the board. Nothing to in-depth, but they may be inquisitive.
Giving a free bump is always nice and appreciated, but I know that a lot of people try to figure out why someone is bumping my/their board. I try to figure out if I know the person who may be bumping my board, and I know some people are the same, so some people may be quizzed a bit for free bumps.
I agree with being friendly, but if you're giving price checks, it helps to be a little bit assertive to show that you know what you're talking about. And if you don't know what you're talking about, I'm sure it would be common knowledge to not give price checks, but just in case.
I do like step 4 of the TC member guide however.
It does really help to have some credentials on the TC if you're going to be a TCer, and want to fit in with typical crowd. It makes your price checks more reliable, your offers seem better, etc. Stuff like that.
Not at all trying to bash the guide OP, I think it's pretty great, but I'm incredibly biased when it comes to the TC and wanted to try and give my two cents. xD
I would avoid the RS/Snipe/Attic Boards on the TC unless you are like 100% sure you know what you're doing, they could start to question. Honestly the AC is pretty chill these days and if you act like a troll people will just roll with it.
