I think their government secretly enjoys torturing their youth. They're even really strict with songs.
Any song that even mentions having a drink or that uses slang gets banned. Also any music video that they deem to be "sexually suggestive" (by their standards) or has a hint of minor violence gets censored as well.
It might be censorship, but you have to see the cultural difference as well as how much videogames have changed their lifestyle. They're trying to shape their country, and with a majority of its youth playing these online games, it helps keep the spirit of hard work alive. The RMAH is just another example of people in first world countries view on being able to have everything on a silver plate if they have the money for it (Which here, isn't meant to be bad. Work for your money ethic). Sure, your going to have illegal microtransactions through third parties, but your removing the strain of laziness from the main view of their entire youth. It makes a lot more sense there then it would here.
