[quote]South Korea has officially banned the trade of virtual items, which would make Diablo 3′s Auction House illegal in the country. Blizzard originally sent the game to the Korean rating board without the auction house enabled but it now looks like the RMAH will never launch in Korea.
According to reports, the government took the decision in a bid to prevent students from wasting their time. The law will be set in stone next month.

Do you think this'll boost the value of stuff like Diablo items and gold?

well, it eliminates the supply, but also the demand, so it kind of sucks.

Other places > S. Korea.
I don't mean to cause offence to anyone from there or anyone who is pro S. Korea, but I would seriously hate to live somewhere like that. The rest of the world is bad enough with censorship these days but they take it to another level there. I recall reading that Blizzard had to re-do parts of WoW to remove Skulls and some Blood so that it could be released in that area of the world.
How easily they will enforce this now trading rule, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure it won't stop people from doing it there completely
