    Happy Birthday Tupac Shakur

    June 16th, 1971

    He's influenced my life in a big way, as some of you know.

    Something I think of almost every day of my life that he has said:

    That's right,
    I know it seem hard sometimes but uhh,
    Remember one thing;
    Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that
    So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out,
    Keep your head up, and handle it.

    R.I.P.

    I still get goosebumps when I see this, Hail Mary is one of my favourite songs. I just wish I had a chance to see him live. D:

    I don't think there is another rapper to ever exist that can be quoted so many times with such value.

    When I read the first line I was like WHAT THE FUCK?! then I saw you was joking haha.

    In all seriousness, the rap/hip-hop game would be nowhere near as big as it is today without people like Pac, so I'm always grateful to him for that.

    Except 2pac rapped about things people can actually relate to. He wasn't afraid to talk about the negative effects of drugs, poverty & discrimination on our society. He so much more real then today's rappers who just talk about their "stacks on deck".

    I agree, but I mean he shaped the way for these rappers to come up. There are a few exceptions, for me they're Immortal Technique, Lowkey and Akala. Akala is my favourite as he's not afraid to touch subjects that other rappers would leave alone - politics, history etc.
