What actually happens with the retired/very rare items on accounts TNT freezes or get purged?
Do they just rot away completely or somehow get pushed back in the game?
I kinda doubt the latter one, but still, I'd like to have it confirmed from others.

They disappear for eternity, along with the pets

That's how neopets control the market you see. If they purge/ice less people would be selling neopoints at 1bil/$10 like maplestory.

I know right? Think of the USD that can be made selling some of those older plot/cove items and stuff xD
