Yes, it's essentially the same as if you were a trader on eBay, you have to pay taxes on the net income and report it to the IRS.

Just remember everything you do here is techincally illegal and could have consequences if caught, but the chance of being caugt is low if you dont brag about it.

I doubt it, Paypal aren't responsible for the tax returns of their users so I wouldn't think they'd report it unless it was something like suspected money laundering etc.

Ill just say 1 year ago I got lucky got some items that sold I made a ### profit. I never paid tax on it. but Im not braggin about it either.

One, you have to make more then 9k a year to even have to report it, so your 1k is no where near that. Two, Paypal would only report it if you made over 20k SALES (not gift) and 200 SALES transactions in a year. I make 3k a month and still never hit that and I'm fine.
