So pre-E3 launch from Nintendo (you need an account to see links)
Summary

• WII U Announcment - Black and White
• All previous controllers compatible
• New controller for platformers
• Tablet like controller (Referred to as Game Pad)- can continue playing whilst TV is in use
• Game Pad also works as a split screen, what you see is different from the big screen
• Game Pad can act as Skype like feature to talk to other people on the WII U/TV [Video conferencing]
• Can browse the internet on the tablet and then 'flick' the video onto the TV if the WII U console is turned on so everyone can watch.
• Game Pad can be used as Art Tablet (not sure about PC compatibility)
• Miiverse - 3DS, Mobile Device, Computer connections - Connects all players (social networking)
