[Guide] Taye's Guide to Score Sending for Dummies

    What is Score Sending?

Score sending is when you use a program or script to send fake scores of Neopets Flash games. This is one of the most popular methods of cheating, however it is one that can get you easily frozen if you don't use a bit of common sense. Score senders are mainly used to get game avatars, however, they will not work for Shockwave games (such a Gourmet Club Bowls). To use a score sender you have to (usually) insert the game ID, a score and a time. This is where users get tripped up. They try to send impossible scores in an impossible amount of time, and TNT aren't morons. For each game there is also what you call a 'review score'. If you go over this number your score will be sent to TNT to be reviewed (for example, the review score for Maths Nightmare is 8800+, so if you submit a high number than that, your score will be reviewed). There are also some games that gain a set amount of points, and if the score you submit is different it will look suspicious (for example, Ice Cream Machine has a mod of 5, so your score MUST end in a 0 or a 5). Although having your score reviewed doesn't always get your account frozen, it is much better to fly under the radar and not draw attention to yourself. It is unknown whether TNT checks scores that haven't been reviewed.

Where can I find a Score Sender?

There is currently a score sender on clraik:
    http://clraik.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=2

And there is also a GM script on Userscripts.com that is working.

What times and scores do I need to send?

I have compiled a comprehensive list of all avatar games and their recommended times, scores and review scores (credit to Infamous Joe for the review scores).

*Tips for submitting a 'Top 50' score: The best was to do this with minimal risk to your account to to go and have a look at the Hi-Score table yourself and pick out a common score (appears 2 or 3 times +) above the minimum score but below the review score. The less you stick out, the better. Note: Remember to double-check the score you're submitting by this method, especially if it's for Maths Nightmare. Get out your online calculator and make sure it's divisible by 60.

Thank you for reading my guide (: Questions, suggestions and comments are all welcome (: I hope this helped.

I'm very new to this... so I hope this isn't derailing the topic TOO much but can someone explain the shell account vs main account thing? I know you can have multiple accounts on Neopets but there are also those rules about not making money on one account and so on. I've heard people talking about transferring money from shell account to main account and so on. @_@ Gets a little confusing.

Hahahha, well, if you're on this site I wouldn't worry too much about breaking TNT's 'only one main' rule ;P

I'm probably not the best person to answer this I'm sure there are other much more experienced people with this stuff But basically most people use proxies when transferring points or items (or pretty much when using different accounts). A proxy hides your IP address, so if TNT look into it it looks like there are two different people (or at least two different computers) involved. However, as long as you're not transferring ridiculous amounts at a single time, I don't think TNT looks into it that much. If fact, I'm pretty sure I read that it was completely Neo-legal to use more than one account to buy from the AAA, as long as everything was sold and used on your main account.

    Hope that helped a little

I believe that rule is only in the instance that your main account is under 3 years, but you have a side account that is over 3 years, you are allowed to use your side account to purchase items from AAA, then transfer them to your main and sell there. However, if you have multiple accounts that are AAA eligible, they will not allow you to purchase on all of them, hence why they put a 5 item per day limit.

@violentrabbit - A shell is basically a disposable account that you use for cheating because you don't mind losing it if it gets frozen. So you use a shell to cheat (with a proxy of course so that it is not under the same IP address as your main account and therefore TNT cannot chain ice you), and then transfer the NPs or items you gained from cheating from your shell to your main.
