What is your favorite neopets related retired item?

well, when it was originally founded by adam and donna, neopets was intended for college students who needed a break. But the animated pets ect eventually translated into a younger user base, this meant that it needed to be toned down in terms of references ect, so things like wine were edited to something more appropriate for the new user base. TNT still makes a lot of sophisticated references, they are just more child friendly these days (e.g grapes of wrath).

Wish they didn't have to sacrifice wars for child-friendliness though. Those were the shizz...

I think they actually released a statement before on it with a reason as to why they stopped. I'll try to hunt it down.

So you're a veteran too? xD My favorite are the pics of the map. Crazy how much it has changed. I almost forgot what it used to look like! Back then before cheat programs were around, I remember being SO excited when I won the 10,000 spot on the WoE. I was like OMG I'M RICH!!
