    Car repair question.

I'm having to drive my mom's car atm, it's an '03 Subaru Forester 2.5 lr 4 cylinder and it needs a oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter. I looked at some online and they all seem over $100. The universal one on amazon won't work. Does anyone have a site where they may have them for less than 100 and work for it?

You try a junk yard? They will most likely sell you anything in there for the price you make.

No I haven't, but I thought sensors should be new when replaced?

Thanks. Actually noticed a oil leak when changing the spark plugs so the reading could have been wrong. Fuck this sucks.

That's okay, I got a sub installed and they "accidentally" drilled through my wiring harness. $2000 dollar mistake

Got it ghetto-rigged. Now my airbags don't work

    not cool.

Yea it's on and it drives like it's the oxygen sensor but it's leaking oil, not a lot but enough to cover the socket wrench bit. She hasn't changed the oil in 3/4 months and I haven't smelled oil sooo. Could a oil leak from a seal be the cause of it acting like it's not getting gas? I'm not sure where it's leaking since I can't do anything around the motor in my apartment parking lot so I'm having someone check. I don't want to get ripped off but if he's going to have to move the engine I might as well get the timing belt replaced and w.e needs done. Idfk.

Go to Autozone and have them put an OBD II reader on the car and get the codes from the car. It is free, it will show the exact problem...

I did but I was told it could have been a wrong reading because of another problem?
