They died due to the stupidity of the driver of the Ferrari. It wasn't a matter of looking before crossing. He went through a redlight blatantly.

I was calling the driver of the Ferrari a moron, so I'm glad we agree. I was saying that I hope I never forget to look before crossing, because a green light doesn't necessarily mean the other cars have stopped. Also a Ferrari is not even in the ballpark of a tragedy, the innocent lives lost because of this jackass are.
