usually cakes are really hard to mess up, and marble cake is fairly easy, is it gunna be from scratch or a box?

a cake being so ugly it scares away the intended consumer......... i will have to see an example of your work, then maybe i could give a couple tips (i'm pretty good at cooking)

food doesn't necessarily HAVE to be good looking, it helps, but shouldn't be a top priority, so you sound good there.... and you're gunna feed 5 people eh?......hmm.......... have they all been good to you recently? (past week or two?)
