I know exactly how you feel. It's terrible when people assume you don't want to talk to them! Generally introverted people are happy to connect with others - they're just too afraid of how others might perceive them, hahaha. xD I'm actually pretty outgoing nowadays once I get to know someone, and I'm crazy if I really feel comfortable around them, LOL. I still often feel like I'm intruding so I usually don't actively go seeking conversations, but I'm happy to continue one if someone approaches me. But I used to be pretty shy too - it's something you just learn to get over. Don't be afraid! I'm sure you'll do fine in school this year :3
